A good way to challenge ourselves as First Baseman. If outside: have a coach, team mate, dad, stand at second base with a fungo and hit ground balls, one hop’s, at you. After getting a bunch from 2nd, move all around the infield repeating the same process. The harder you hit the one hop’s – the more challenging the picks will be. As first baseman, we always strive to pick the ball cleanly to collect an out, but most importantly – not to let the ball get by you.
